The gray one is the Rooster, we named him Ash.
They will stay in the shop for about a month or so until they get moved to be with the others. We now have 12 chickens and 1 Rooster.

4 New Chicks and a Rooster
Saturday, March 30th we went and picked out 4 new chicks. We decided we didn't want to start with babies and so we picked 2 month olds. The lady we bought them from talked us into having a rooster again! She said this kind seems to be more tame and she said she would just give us him since she had quite a few this time. So we shall see....

So what's the purpose in having a rooster? And do you ever buy eggs or just eat your own?
There is no purpose in having a Rooster unless you want to have baby chicks. I am not a FAN of Roosters. Typically they are mean!! So we shall see.... I never buy eggs anymore. Ours are the BEST!:-)
