Chicago

Friday, November 20, 2015, I left for Chicago at 7:40 am.  Kurt was supposed to go with me at this time but had a last minute meeting and had to come later that day.  Thank goodness, John and Sonya were getting to Chicago around the same time as me, so I had someone to hang out with until Kurt could meet up with us!  We went to Chicago for the Broncos/Chicago Bears game.  Kurt had arranged to take some people he works with in Chicago and Joe and his wife, Pat too.  So it was a fun weekend of staying at the Ritz Carlton!

We also went because it was Kurt's brother, Chris's birthday. Chris had actually gotten us our Bronco tickets for this game and he was flying to Chicago too but on Saturday.  The weather got kinda bad and flights were getting cancelled and on top of it all, Chris wasn't feeling well and ended up not coming.  So on Friday John, Sonya and I went and walked around Chicago and did some shopping, etc.  Then Kurt got in and we all went out to dinner with John, Sonya, Joe, Pat and our friend, Sean, who lives in Chicago.  We of course had to have some good Chicago food!  The next day, Saturday, the weather was terrible but we still went out in it and did some more shopping and went for some Chicago Pizza!  We then made our way to a popular bar that Sean recommended, called Butch McGuires and met up with the Sumey's who flew in that day too!

As we were getting ready for dinner, we noticed a lot of sirens and saw that the John Hancock building right beside our hotel was on fire!  It ended up being an apartment high up, but it sure got all of our attention!

Later that night we went out for a GREAT dinner, this was actually supposed to be Chris's birthday dinner.  We had great food and some great wine!  Then it was time to head back to our hotel and out front is a limo and asked if we wanted to take that for a small fee!  Of course, we all jumped on that and had a lot of fun riding in the limo and a scenic route and drinking some beer!:-)

The next day, Sunday, it is GO time!  We met some co-workers of Kurt's for breakfast and then made our way to Soldier Field!

It was a cold game but so fun and even better that the Broncos WON 17-15!!  This was The 1st game that Brock Osweiler started.  He did a GREAT job!
After the game we ran into the Sumey's and had to do a Group picture!
