Poor Tess!

Wednesday morning Kurt noticed Tess wasn't acting right and kept licking herself under her right arm. Kurt and I rolled her over and noticed she had 2 puncture wounds!  Right away we were wondering what the heck happened.  Kurt went up to Collin's room and questioned him and sure enough the day before Collin had been throwing the ball to Tess and she had ran into Collin's bow that was in his target.  He noticed she had yelped a little and checked her out and couldn't find anything.  Well, the bow went right through her skin and out.  Poor baby had to pretty good puncture wounds!  Collin and I took her to the vet and they did not want to stitch it because they could tell infection was starting and didn't want it to abcess.  So Tess is now on a heavy duty antibiotic, twice a day, for 8 days.  She also has to where this cone so she doesn't lick the wounds.  She's not too happy about that but she is a Trooper and doing good!
