Katie's gymnastics team is Thornton High School. She actually goes to Horizon High School but Adams 12 has combined schools to form 2 teams. So Katie's team is Thornton, Northglenn, Brighton and Horizon High Schools. The 2nd team is Mountain Range and Legacy High Schools. So every day after school we have to take her to Thornton High School for practice. She will have meets every Thursday evening and some on Friday and Saturdays.
Katie had a GREAT 1st Meet and was on the Varsity team! She ended up placing 4th All Around! and got 8th place on Bars and Floor. It was just her and another freshman who placed in the All Around for her team. Their team ended up losing this dual by only 2 points. the 1st couple of meets are practice meets and then they get more serious! Her coach thinks they have a very good chance of going to State this year! Good Luck Thornton Gymnastics!!
